Record John Santana

John Santana is a composer, conductor and hosts afternoons on K-Mozart and the station's live LA Chamber Orchestra concerts. He holds a Masters degree in Music and studied composition with Roy Harris and Nicholas Slonimsky. John did his first classical music program in El Centro, California in 1970. Seven years later he joined the staff of LA's classical station, then called KFAC. Sixteen years later he continues to ease commuters home through freeway gridlocks with four hours of great music. John hosts K-Mozart's pre-inaugural programming at Walt Disney Concert Hall on October 23, 24 and 25 from 3-6 PM. On the 23rd, he features recordings by the LA Philharmonic, on the 24th music composed in LA and on the 25th, music written for films.
