Chris Whent, the host, is in real life a lawyer, who on a weekly basis turns into a radio broadcaster (upwards of thirty years on WBAI, as well as time served on WKCR). In another time and place he produced jazz records, and labored in the record company salt mines in posts from artists and repertoire through marketing to business affairs. His tastes in music are wildly eclectic.
