Record Larry Chiaroni

For Larry Chiaroni, it started with one of those little gadgets you clip on something metal and then move an antenna up and down to tune in radio stations. The only station he was able to find was KCBS.After attending Marin County schools, Larry graduated from San Francisco State University in 1978 with a degree in Broadcasting. His first radio job was at KTOB in Petaluma. He also worked at KSRO in Santa Rosa and hosted magazine-style TV programs for KRCB in Rohnert Park and KFTY in Santa Rosa before joining KCBS as a news anchor in 1990.While on the air, Larry says he tries to remember what Arthur Godfrey said was the secret of his success, imagining one taxi driver listening to the radio, and then talking directly to him.
