On Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 7:00pm Central Time, The Bluebird Caf joined forces with Nashville Public Radio and kicked off a new weekly series entitled: "Live at The Bluebird Caf." The hour-long broadcast featured - and will continue to feature - live performances, recorded at the legendary Nashville venue. Following the club's typical format, most of the show's broadcasts will feature four singer/songwriters "in the round" - trading songs and stories throughout the course of the show. "Live at The Bluebird" is hosted by none other than Thom Schuyler, one of Nashville's quintessential songwriters who created the original in the round format at the club in 1985. Schuyler's classic song 16th Avenue - about the progression of a songwriting career in Nashville - will provide the theme song for the show. "We're very excited to have partnered with Nashville Public Radio to make some of the Bluebird's wonderful songwriter performances available to the middle Tennessee public radio audience," said Bluebird Caf COO Erika Wollam Nichols.
